The customers who reviewed this wind-up toy gave it an average rating of 3.5 stars. Many parents were happy with it as it made their kids happy. Quite a few of them were also disappointed since they expected more than what it can actually do.

This product didn’t fail to make customers happy. One mom is in the habit of buying water toys just to encourage her kid to take a bath in the tub and sadly, not many got the attention. This one was different though, it worked like a charm for her kid and she’s no longer having a hard time getting him to step into the bath tub. Another father found the mechanism of this toy vey clever. It seems that he’s even more amazed with it than he’s boy is. He claims that the propeller gets geared up as it gets wind up and that is what makes this submarine propel through the water and submerge for about a feet deep.

Meanwhile, some parents were disappointed with it. One mom gave this to her son as birthday gift and said that it stopped working on the first day. They probably got about four dives before it broke. Another dad was disappointed to see that his item would tilt on its side and would propel in a circular motion. He did found a way to deal with it. He puts it in the corner of the tub and lets it glide along the side. There was also one parent who complained that the propeller spins too fast and that it broke off easily. Her kid still plays with the toy and manually glides it around the tub. She explains that it would be better off introduced to be a manual to rather than a wind up since it doesn’t do the job anyway.

We would recommend this product for any parent who wants to add their collection of water toys for their kids. The life expectancy of this wind-up toy is dependent on how careful it is handled. A lot of kids indeed had fun with it since there are not  a lot of submarine toys can dive and resurface automatically. It is already a good bargain considering its market price.
