Latest Electronic Gadgets
We’re lucky to be living through a time of extraordinarily rapid technological advancement, and in all of history, there has been no better time for latest electronic gadget lovers. With things like smartphones, eBook readers, digital cameras, media players, GPS technology, and video games, there’s enough cool stuff out there to keep us busy for a long time. But these latest electronic gadgets certainly aren’t the end of the story; with still-developing technologies such as robotics, solar energy, virtual reality, and who knows what else, we have a lot to look forward to in the realm of electronic gadgets.
But for now, let’s take a look at what’s available today. Here are some of the coolest and latest electronic gadgets available to consumers right now:
eBook Readers
There are still many people out there who resist eBook readers. We’ve all been reading books our whole lives, and there is a certain sentimentality attached to the sensory qualities of old-fashioned books. They feel just right in the hand, they look nice on the shelf, and they even smell good—but alas, the trajectory of history is not in books’ favor. As much as we try to resist, our children’s children will be reading all their books in electric form.
Of course, you’re not required to jump on the bandwagon right now, but considering how cool the latest generation of eReaders are, why not? The Harmony eBook Reader, for example, greatly outpaces the eBook readers from just a couple of years ago in all significant ways. The screen is amply used and good-looking, the memory is huge, and the gadget itself is light and highly portable. Use it a little while, and you’ll soon start to forget any sentimental feelings you may have about traditional books.
Smartphones
If you’re still using one of those ancient cellphones that do little more than send and receive calls, it’s time to move into the 21st century. With innovative new phones such as the Evolution Smartphone, you hardly need a computer anymore. Practically all your communications can be done right through the phone, and the beautiful screen and touchscreen display make the phone a pleasure to work with. If you haven’t used a smartphone recently, you’ll be astonished by how far these technologies have come in such a short time.
Navigation systems
When you’re driving, do you still use maps and written directions to get to faraway places? If so, you’re missing out on one of the most exciting developments in recent technological gadgets. GPS systems don’t completely supplant the old-fashioned ways of getting around. And after all, you do still need to pay attention to where you’re going. But they do take out some of the guesswork by making sure that you make all the correct turns and go all the right distances.
The Piranha GPS Navigation System is one of the best and latest models on the market. The amazing thing about the Piranha is that it’s more than just a GPS navigation system. It’s also a DVD player, and it has a 7-inch touchscreen monitor with incredible resolution, plus functionality for a Bluetooth device.
Robots
Robotic technology still seems to be developing at a depressingly slow pace, at least compared with other fields, but there have still been a few exciting developments made available to consumers over the last few years. One of the perennial favorites is the Roomba Vacuuming Robot, which is just what its name would lead you to believe. It’s basically a flat, circular disc that runs around your floor in search of dust and dirt. It still doesn’t do the exacting cleaning job that you can achieve with a hand-held vacuum, but it’s nice to have this little guy to do the routine work.
Another useful robot that’s been making waves in recent months is the Self-Cleaning Litter Box Robot. If you’re a cat owner who gets a little sick of the daily grind of keeping that smelly and dusty litter box clean, this robot can relieve your woes by taking care of everything without human intervention. The cat waste is deposited into a large-capacity drawer lined with a garbage bag, and all you have to do is take out the bag every now and then.
