The customers who reviewed this solar system kit gave it an average rating of 4.1 stars, with more than half of them rating it 4.0 to 5.0 stars. It was reportedly very effective in teaching little children about the solar system, and the glowing effect made any room really spiced up. The reviewers mainly gave similar comments, of how the children they were bought for were happy with it and had fun setting them up. At least one happy customer reported how her four-year-old could already name the nine planets in the solar system thanks to this kit. Apparently, an included pamphlet also gave out important tidbits about each planet. One reviewer cautioned future buyers to have sturdy nails at hand to hang them up without needing to struggle with thumb tacks that might get bent. They also reported that children of various ages, from as young as 20 months to as old as 10, loving the set as it was set up in a dark room. Of course, the installation was considered a bit difficult, with using fishing lines for each planet, but everyone felt that the results afterward were well worth the effort, and the set stayed up after it was installed anyway.

Meanwhile, some reviewers commented that the stars included in the package were somewhat tiny and did not glow as brightly as those from other sets, but they got around the problem by buying another set and telling the child the dimmer stars were those further away! All in all, the reviewers highly recommended this kit largely for the solar system planets, and then suggested buying a separate stars-kit to complement the set. Apparently it would create a more realistic effect to have some larger stars glowing alongside the large planets. But despite this limitation, all the users were reportedly satisfied with their purchase and would count it a good value “investment,” if only for the educational value it gave the child.
