Those who loved it described it as a fun gizmo. One of them got this robot for an 8-year-old boy, and he reportedly had a blast assembling it; the boy managed to do most of the work himself, and he greatly enjoyed it. Another buyer described it as a lot of fun that required an adult to assemble. He also described it as a colorful project that kids enjoyed. Another reviewer liked how her 10-year-0ld managed to assemble it within five minutes, which she felt was great for the child’s self esteem.

Of course, one buyer who found it fun also commented that it was a poor example of robotics as the robot only vibrated around the paper and changing the patterns required changing the angle of the pens: this was found to be a very simple mechanism that might bore others really looking for robotics enjoyment. Another buyer who got this for an 8-year-old was disappointed when the boy got bored with its doing the same thing all the time. All in all, this seems to be an interesting concept for children who love to draw patterns using a compass, as they can see the same thing being done by the robot. Also, it will make a great project for older kids who are challenged to make their own models or robots. But based on the comments, we believe this robot will make a good addition only as a model to assemble and as entertainment for younger kids. As such, we would highly recommend it to you if you have at least two kids of varying ages, as you would get to enjoy it longer for the two ages, instead of getting it for one child who might get bored with it too soon.
